Just a few pics of the girls! My cuties that make everyday that I am home with them more and more special!

She insisted on wearing her boots outside to play!

A day filled with movies, baking, and staying in our jammies all day! Can you see the excitement in their faces?
She's in love with whipped icing just like mommy!
Such a big helper in so many ways
The best part, right?

Yummy!

Transportation Day

Transportation Day at Makenna's school. The kids were so excited to sit in a firetruck, check out a fire rescue vehicle, crawl through the back of a police car and sit on a motorcycle. They also had a trike-a-thon and they were able to spray a hose to help put out a "fire" on a house. I was there to catch everything on camera as "photo mom" for the class! Makenna and her classmates

So, I think I have finally caught everyone up to speed on everything that has happened since the last post in July on our "old" website. I'm still getting used to this new blog thing so please be patient. I hope to have a few posts per month so you can stay up to date on what we are up to here at the Smith house! Love you all.

Happy Birthday Grammy!

We loved having dinner with Grammy on her birthday! It was wonderful to see Granny too, she was down for a week from Alabama! We hope you had a wonderful birthday weekend Grammy! Grammy & Kenna

Pre-school....bittersweet!

We were finally able to get Makenna back in school...she has been asking to see her friends, so part-time preschool it is! We were lucky to find openings at a wonderful church preschool close to our house. She loves it! We have heard so many wonderful things about the school so we are very excited for her future at UCP! Daddy and Makenna at Meet the Teacher Night
Such a big girl!

First Day, ready with her backpack and lunchbox!
In front of her classroom...this is where she quickly posed for a picture and then said bye mom, you don't have to come in with me, you go home with Carsyn and I'll see you later! Could she be anymore independent?

Zoo-tastic!

We took a trip to the Brevard Zoo with Makenna and her friend Koltin and his little brother, Kanen. Here are a few pics of the night... Jeff, Makenna and Koltin

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Grandpa Rodney & Grandma Cheryl's lake house in Alabama. We enjoyed the beautiful outdoors and yummy food for the Labor Day weekend. Makenna loves the lake house, she's more of a tomboy then I ever imagined she would be and daddy LOVES it! She fished with crickets, cruised on the boat and swam in the lake...she was in heaven! She is requesting that we buy a golf cart now, I won't be suprised if it shows up on her Christmas list. Carsyn chilled indoors with the dogs, loved the outdoor swing and enjoyed a golf cart ride or two...more like mama's speed! We had a wonderful stay and look forward to having many more memories at the lake. Makenna's last words before we headed down the gravel drive headed back home...."I want to live at the lake house"...that pretty much says it all!
