Fun times with the girls...

New Playmate!

After Thanksgiving I was happy to get the opportunity to watch a little girl in our home while her mommy and daddy go to work. She is a delight. Makenna and Carsyn love having her over. It's been fun to see Carsyn adapt to having someone smaller then her in the house...she's quite curious at times. She's been a joyful addition to our days. Her name is Sage and she is 4 months old. Needless to say, 3 kiddos in the house during the day...things are never dull.

Merry Christmas

Our camera broke a few days before Christmas so we have limited Christmas photos of the girls...thankfully, my mom and Kelli took some so here are a few that I stole from Kelli. We were prepared with the video camera and were able to get Carsyn's first Christmas on video. We attended church on Christmas Eve and had everyone over to our house afterwards. We stayed the night at Grandma & PawPaw's house along with Nana and Kelli. Makenna had a blast opening her presents and Carsyn loved the boxes.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Makenna had one more party at school before her Christmas vacation. Daddy was home that day so he was happy to attend the party too. Makenna was very excited to have a party celebrating the birth of Jesus. The class ate cake and decorated cookies!

Gingerbread Night

Makenna had gingerbread night at her school. We sang songs, built a gingerbread house and had some sweets! It was a great night spent with her classmates and their families.

Christmas Celebration

My dad's work puts on an excellent Christmas party for the kids / grandkids of the employees. This year was a little wet but we survived and had a wonderful time. Makenna rode the ponies (her favorite part), the girls got to pick a toy in Toyland, made crafts, took a hayride and visited Santa. It was a great time with Grampy, Nonna and Chance. Jeff was taking a certification course at The Florida Hotel (located in the Florida Mall) so we met him for lunch, did some shopping and met Santa. Makenna sat on his lap this year by herself which is a huge improvement from past years. Carsyn was taking a nap so I wasn't going to get her in the picture but decided to pick her up and put her in Santa's lap and hope she didn't freak out. Well, they snapped the picture right as she opened her eyes and this is what we got...better then a crying baby. She wasn't phased by it at all.
